Ken Nishizawa is the founder and representative director of FuNNeX Asset Management which was established in January 2000. The firm managed a number of separate client focused equity portfolios as well as mutual funds, until Ken decided to focus on managing his family assets in 2013.

Ken started his career as a research analyst and, later, strategist at Nikko Securities in Tokyo and London, before joining Warburg Investment Management (later Mercury Asset Management and Merrill Lynch Investment Management) in 1986. He served as a fund manager, subsequently becoming the Managing Director in charge of the Japanese equity fund management team. Ken holds a BA in Commerce from Waseda University.

Kazuki Shionoya is the CFO of FuNNeX Asset Management and also the director of Sirius Tax Corporation in Tokyo. Prior to setting up Sirius Tax Corporation in 2012, Kazuki worked at Clifix Certified Public Tax Accountants’ Corporation where he was responsible for serving clients by offering accounting and tax advisory services, business succession planning, financial/tax due diligent services, and stock valuations.

He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing statutory audit, IPO support services, organizational restructuring/ business revitalization planning, and tax due diligent services. Kazuki holds a BA in Economics from Chuo University.

Tom Carrick is Advisor, Global Business, at FuNNeX Asset Management. Born and raised in Japan, Tom has spent the majority of his career in financial markets. He is currently the Managing Director of Lee106 Company Ltd, a consulting firm based in Iida, Nagano.

Most recently he was Director, International Sales at Sberbank Asset Management. Prior to that he was Managing Director of Westpac Securities Japan and held positions within the Westpac group both in Tokyo and Sydney. Tom started his career at Daiwa Securities in Tokyo covering both domestic and foreign institutions on Fixed Income products. He holds a BA in Business Management from Whitworth University.
